Ngāti Manawa Charitable Trust

Ngāti  Manawa Charitable Trust was established to facilitate charitable distributions of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Manawa. Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Manawa is the mandated Iwi organisation for Ngāti Manawa and is the settlers of the Charitable Trust.

The Ngāti Manawa Charitable Trust are made of up 2 Directors and 1 Trustee from Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Manawa.

Jenny was elected onto the Ngāti Manawa Charitable Trust back in 2013. A former primary school teacher Jenny

moved into the health industry before becoming self-employed. Jenny is a Director & Senior consultant for Klub Ngaru Consultants Limited, who is involved with many local and national organisations either in governance, management, advisory or voluntary roles. Jenny is also a Director for the Property Investment company Red Banana Limited and a Trustee on Te Punga Trust.

Eugene Berryman-Kamp - Ngāti Manawa

Eugene was elected onto the Ngāti Manawa Charitable Trust back in 2013.  Raised in Rotorua, Eugene graduated

from Waikato University with a Bachelor of Management Studies Degree, majoring in Marketing and HR. After working in the UK, Eugene returned to Rotorua in 2002. Eugene is a director in Te Rau Matatini Ltd, Pakihi BK Ltd, QE Health Ltd and TARIT Group Holdings Limited, a chartered member of Institute of Directors, the current chair of the John Paul College Whanau Support group and a school board member. Today Eugene is a project manager for the Maori health team at Lakes DHB and is also a trustee on Te Arawa River Iwi Trust and Korowai Aroha Health Trust.

John Porima - Ngāti Manawa

John was born and bred and grew up in Murupara around all our marae in Ngati Manawa (NM). John is the longest serving trustee elected to the Runanga, of the current three serving trustees appointed by Moewhare Marae.

John is currently the Chairperson and Director of the NM Charitable Trust which distributes funds and grants to beneficiaries as well as improves the health and welfare of Ngati Manawa Iwi. John is also the Ngati Manawa Iwi representative on the 18 Iwi represented Bay of Plenty District Health
Board Maori Health Runanga which meets quarterly with the Bay of Plenty District Health Board at a
Governance and strategic level. John is also the Performance and Quality Manager for his organization’s Medical and Community health services in Te Puke. John has experience in Quality fields as well, as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2008 series as a Lead
Auditor for NZ Health and Disability Sector Standards . He has also successful achieved Cornerstone
Accreditation for his organisation’s Medical Clinic through the Royal New Zealand College of
Practitioners. He is trained and certified as proficient in the NZ Privacy Act and is also trained NZ Health and Safety Representative.
